Find your voice - you finally have a choice.

I AM LISTENING.

Judge and Gavel

Putting My Experience
to Work for You

Caren is a direct communicator, and values honesty in all interactions. While the truth sometimes can be hard to hear, a judge who makes an effort to explain findings and rulings can help parties move forward with confidence that the outcome was just.

Caren's commitment to personal and intellectual honesty is evident in all of her actions. We can trust Caren to say what she means and mean what she says.  Every judge has personal opinions, but the quality of a judge can be measured in his or her ability to put those opinions aside and apply the rule of law.

Caren has an open mind and values differing perspectives and ideas to help reach reasonable and justified opinions.

Ethical conduct is critical in our judicial system.  Judges must be able to consider complex and difficult evidence, and weigh the facts and apply the law fairly.  Caren's ethics provide a solid foundation for using good judgment, determining the most just outcome, and applying the law with a healthy dose of common sense.

I'M LISTENING

The Nevada Constitution requires District Court Judges to be selected by the electorate, but if nobody runs against the incumbent appointed judge, Douglas County voters’ voices are silenced.

I am running, and I am listening.

Find your voice – you finally have a choice.

Both of Douglas County’s judges worked in criminal law before taking the bench, but over 70% of the cases in Douglas District Court involve family law, probate and civil matters.  Caren’s over 25 years of civil law experience will serve our county well.
